Roland A. Campbell (b. 1917, Persia, Iowa), U.S. Air Force officer, enlisted in the Washington State National Guard in 1939 and was called to active duty as an aviation cadet, receiving his pilot wings and commission as 2nd Lieutenant in April 1940. In 1944 he became commander, 4th Reconnaissance Squadron, Pacific Theater of Operations.
